Terms of service

Agreement to these terms

By using Collet ("the Service"), from 11111110, Inc. ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you use Collet on behalf of an organization, you confirm you're authorized to bind it to these terms, and "you" means both you and that organization.

We'll email you at least 30 days before a material change to these terms takes effect. If you keep using Collet after that, you accept the new terms.

What Collet does

Collet keeps a list of the software your company uses, gives each app a DRI (directly responsible individual), checks each app against the standard you set, and reminds DRIs of what's left to do. To do that, Collet:

  • Reads from Google Workspace and Slack using the permissions listed on the security page, once an administrator connects them
  • Stores the member lists you upload and the details you enter about your apps
  • Sends reminders to DRIs by email and Slack

Collet only reads from your systems. It never changes settings, revokes access, or removes anyone.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for what happens under it. Each person needs their own account. Don't share accounts. Your organization can add members in the product.

Only connect systems your organization controls, and only if you have the authority to give Collet access to them.

Your data

You own your data. We claim no rights to the data Collet reads from your systems or the data you enter. We use it only to provide Collet, as described in the privacy policy.

You can export your data at any time, with no fee. You can ask us to delete it at any time, and we'll do so within 30 days.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Connect systems or accounts you aren't authorized to connect
  • Try to access another customer's data, account, or organization
  • Use Collet in a way that degrades it for other customers
  • Reverse engineer Collet or try to extract its source code
  • Resell or sublicense access to Collet without a written agreement with us
  • Use Collet for anything that breaks the law

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If the problem isn't severe and can be fixed, we'll tell you first and give you a reasonable chance to fix it.

Plans and billing

The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are billed per organization at the rates on the pricing page, monthly or annually. Annual plans are billed up front.

Upgrades take effect right away and are prorated for the rest of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change, and price changes never apply to a period you've already paid for.

Cancellation and termination

You can cancel at any time in the product. When you do:

  • We keep your data for 30 days so you can export it
  • After 30 days, we delete it
  • We don't refund partial billing periods, except where the law requires it

We may close your account if you materially break these terms. If we do, you'll have 30 days to export your data, unless the breach needs immediate action, such as using Collet for something illegal.

Availability

We work to keep Collet available and reliable, but we don't promise it will be available all the time. We provide it on a commercially reasonable basis and will try to tell you in advance about planned maintenance.

Disclaimer of warranties

Collet is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Collet reports what it can see. It doesn't guarantee that your apps are configured correctly, that every app or problem will be found, or that people who left have lost access to apps it can't check. You remain responsible for your systems and how they're configured.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to Collet is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, whatever the cause or legal theory.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Delaware.
